Workshops

The Alamo Tech Prep Consortium provides workshops in partnership with ACCD. These workshops are designed to prepare the teacher and/or provide certification to teach in a particular area. CATEMA approved teachers will be required to attend workshops in order to better align their curriculum and provide a solid foundation for teachers in the area they are interested in teaching. Workshops may include testing, certification, professional development, or other collaborative meetings.

The Mission of the Alamo Region Tech Prep Consortium is to develop, support and continually improve a system that provides a seamless transition for high school students starting a college technical program of study at high school with a coherent sequence of program-related courses and completing the program of study at a community college resulting in the award of an Associate of Applied Science degree. A successful Tech Prep completer will continue his or her education toward a baccalaureate degree and/or beyond, find employment in an appropriate career field and/or enter military service.
